How we work

Editorial Policy

MyEatLife helps people cook and eat well in everyday Malaysian life. These are the standards behind every story we publish.

Every kitchen, equal respect

We cover Malay, Chinese, Indian, Peranakan, Eurasian, Kadazan-Dusun, Iban and other Malaysian food traditions with the same care. We explain where a dish comes from and how families make it, not only the most famous version.

How we write recipes

  • Ingredients use amounts and names you can find in Malaysian shops and markets.
  • Steps are written in plain words, in the order you will actually cook.
  • Where a family or regional version differs, we say so instead of claiming one "authentic" way.

Health and nutrition

Our Eat Well stories give general information to help you make everyday choices. They are not medical advice. We do not publish numbers or health claims without a reliable source, and we encourage readers with a health condition to speak to a doctor or dietitian.

How we use AI tools

Some stories are researched, drafted or translated with the help of AI tools. The MyEatLife team edits this work, checks ingredients, steps and facts, and is responsible for everything we publish.

Pen names

Our writers publish under pen names. Their stories go through the same editing and checks as everything else on MyEatLife.

Sponsored content

Paid content is always labelled "Sponsored" or "Advertorial" at the top of the page and is kept separate from our editorial stories. See our Advertising Disclosure for details.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake in a recipe or a fact, email info@myeatlife.com with the subject "Correction". We review every report and update the story when we agree a change is needed.
